I'm not about airing my dirty laundry, but....

...ALTR and ALTL had a bipartisan blast at this year's Dirty Linen Night in the French Quarter. Although I was an art history major, I must admit that my favorite stops weren't even the art stores. Among my faves for the evening were a costume jewelry store called Rumors where ALTR purchased a bangin' silver necklace. And also, Fleur de Paris - who's up for a Derby party next year?

I think Rumors had the best drinks for the evening - a "peartini" - a delicious concoction of Absolut Pear (who knew it could be good!) with sweet & sour and Crystal Light. An at-home version will be attempted sometime soon for pool-side uses.

ALTL gives two thumbs up

The new Absolut New Orleans was announced in conjunction with Tales of the Cocktail.

After enjoying a fantastic dinner this evening at such an event, ALTL was able to sample the new vodka. Two thumbs way up! A strong, citrusy scent, yet the mango taste is not overwhelming. The black pepper then kicks in and you're not stuck with the vodka after taste.

Bartender, I'd like an Absolut New Orleans on the rocks! Does that make me a cliche?
